Confusion and Division

These past six months it has become clearer and clearer how important working towards unity and clarity are.  Personally and globally this couldn't be of more importance.  These last six months have been a huge challenge for me, my family and our nation.  Personally, our move across the country has been like being thrown into a pressure cooker.  We have faced, and are still facing many challenges. These challenges, like anything, God used for our good.  Things got more stressful between us all, yet, these challenges are bringing us closer.  Making it more obvious how imperative it is for us to all be a team.  When we are all working together so much more can be done and God can work so much more effectively without us being in the way with our pride and allowing the devil footholds in our minds and emotions.  We are so distracted with our emotional pain that comes with relational strain that we aren't as effective for the kingdom or our own lives.  When we are fighting for our own cause or being right we lose our clarity, we lose the God's perspective.  Life gets confusing.  Emotions get confusing.  We get burnt out and discouraged.  We feel alone.

Personally, I am starting to understand why God has put so much emphasis on mending relationships and doing so before going to him.  It's not that we aren't worthy of worshiping him without doing so.  We are just filled with confusion and pride.  Are we fully able to go to God and surrender to him if we are not able to swallow our pride enough to salvage a relationship?
